Canvas courses and cars have something in common: both require routine maintenance to keep running smoothly. The ISS team is here to guide faculty through the steps of preparing existing courses for a new term.
Before each new term, GPE program directors or administrators notify ISS of which courses will run must use the Course Readiness Request Form (available in fall 2024). Programs offering all courses every term are exempt from this requirement.
Once course sections for the coming term become available in Canvas (usually by the second week of early registration), ISS will import existing template content into the new courses. Then, faculty and ISS will work together to complete the Course Readiness Checklist
Each term, ISS reserves weeks 12–15 for course Quality Assurance (QA) reviews. The team is currently developing this process and will share more information as soon as possible.
