To find criticism about a literary work try searching these databases. You can combine keywords (i.e. "Charles Dickens" and "children") to limit your search results.
Provides a subject, author, and title index for books and articles published on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics.
Provides online access to important scholarly journals and books in many different disciplines.
For journals, JSTOR mainly serves an archival function, it contains recent issues for some titles, but for most titles the available issues are two years old or more.
You can also find literary criticism on your author or work in OneSearch by performing a subject search with this formula
Choose "Subject" from the drop down list, and then put the name of the person in the search box in this format "LastName, FirstName" (ex. "Eliot, George"). Then choose "Subject" on the next line and put in the term "Criticism and Interpretation."
Add another field with the title of a literary work if you want to be even more specific.
