Assessing your Information Litearcy Instruction Session

Assessing your session is important to ensure that you are meeting the desired learning objectives and to continue to grow as an educator. There are two main types of assessment: formative and summative assessment. Formative assessment is where you incorporate checks for understanding throughout the session to help guide the direction of your content. Summative assessment is more of your traditional quizzes, tests, and responding to other types of questions or prompts. Work through the module below to learn more about incorporating assessment into your information literacy instruction sessions.
