What I can help you with

Here are some of the kinds of things I can help you with when we meet.  I can:

  • Help you broaden or narrow a research topic (as appropriate).
  • Help you find background resources to further understand a topic.
  • Help you identify research databases in which to search.
  • Help you with advanced search strategies to find articles that are suitable.
  • Help you chase down any rabbit trails that appear as you continue along your research path.
  • Help you set up bibliographic citation management tools (like Zotero, my favorite...).

Who am I?

I am the Director of the Liaison Program, Research and Engagement in the Baylor University Libraries. As such, I provide administrative leadership over the liaison librarian program in the Research and Engagement department; manage a team of liaisons who reach out to and engage with their assigned schools, departments, and major programs on campus to provide high quality and effective research, information literacy, collections and scholarly communication services; supervise 8 liaison librarians to support their development and growth; collaborate with the other directors within the Research and Engagement department (Information Literacy and Instruction, Public Services, Data and Digital Scholarship and Central Libraries Special Collections) to ensure the provision of cohesive services in support of the Libraries' and university's goals; primary liaison to 4 academic departments.

I got my BA in Comparative Literature from Oberlin College in Ohio in 1997 and my Master's in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007.
