Introduction

William Edward Burghardt Du Bois (1868-1963) was a philosopher, sociologist, historian, and a civil rights activist. He wrote prodigiously and established himself as the leading intellectual on race and the plight of black Americans.  This resource guide provides print and digital resources in addition to external websites on W.E.B Du Bois. During the 2024-2025 academic year, Baylor will celebrate the centennial of the publication of W.E.B. DuBois' "The Gift of Black Folk" with a series of webinars kicked off with a hybrid session featuring Dr. Jamal-Dominique Hopkins, Associate Professor of Christian Scriptures and Director of the Black Church Studies Program at Baylor's George W.
