Because physical course reserves will not be available for Fall 2020, many reserve materials will need to be digitized. For digitizing items for course reserves, follow these guidelines, which are briefly outlined below:
- Use the digitization request form to submit items for digitization. Submit one form for each item to be digitized.
- Personal Copies
- Print the page that displays after submitting the request and firmly attach it to the item to be digitized.
- Drop the item(s) into one of the exterior library book drops:
- Outside the Jesse H. Jones Library entrance or
- Drive-by location on the cement island between the Poage Library and the Castellaw building.
- These items will be held in quarantine for 3 days and then placed in the digitization queue.
- Library Copies
- Library personnel will retrieve the item(s) from the shelves. If the item is not on the shelf, you will be notified.
- The items will be taken to the Riley Digitization Center where they will be placed in the digitization queue.
- Once digitized:
- The digital files will be placed in Box (print materials) or Kaltura/Mediaspace (videos);
- The URLs will be sent to Course Reserves personnel;
- Course Reserves personnel will add the links to the to online course reserves for the specific class.
- All the works will remain in the Riley Digitization Center until the buildings are open again, and they can be re-shelved or faculty can come get them.
