Library Resources for New Nursing Faculty: Interlibrary Loan at the Nursing School

How do I request something from another library?

If you've determined that you need something that the Nursing LRC does not own and isn't available electronically at Baylor University, you can ask us to obtain it for you.  Simply email the citation as you found it to nursinglrc@baylor.edu. It is not necessary to convert it to APA. Be sure to include your name, Baylor email address, a phone number, and a needed-by date.  A typical journal article request can take from 2 business days to 2 weeks, depending on where we can locate the item.  Books will take longer since they are sent through the U.S. Postal Service.

Some resource databases such as EBSCO's CINAHL and MEDLINE, PubMed, or the Web of Science have an email function available. Remember that unless you have logged into that database's individual customization function, the email will be coming to us from EBSCO (or MyNCBI [PubMed], etc.) instead of you, so we won't know who it's from. Please put your name somewhere in the email (subject line or body of the message) so we can follow up with you.

The Nursing LRC does not charge nursing faculty for interlibrary loan service.

Please note that the OsoFast service offered by the Central Libraries in Waco does not apply to Dallas Nursing School faculty.
