Primary and Secondary Source for National History Day Projects

This is a resource for those conducting research using primary and secondary sources for National History Day. Students can use this as a starting point for research. This guide provides definitions and the distinction of primary and secondary sources, where you can search sources for research, how to analyze historical research, and how to properly cite your sources. 

The Heart of Texas Regional History Fair (HOTRHF) is a regional affiliate for the Texas History Day and National History Day annual competition.   

Founded in 1986 under the sponsorship of the Texas Collection at Baylor University, the HOTRHF is currently sponsored by The Texas Collection at Baylor University. The fair is held each February at the Bill Daniel Student Center at Baylor University.
