This guide contains recommendations for the major databases and resources used for finding information related to art history, including background information such as art timelines, art terminology,  information on artists, and information on art periods and movements. It also includes information on secondary literature, finding images, finding videos, and information on catalogues raisonné. 

Purpose

This guide serves as a starting point for exploring art history, conducting research in all aspects of art history, or interdisciplinary work intersecting art history.
