Great Texts

A guide for students in the Great Texts of the Western Tradition program

Contact Your Librarian

I'm Ellen Filgo, the librarian for the Honors College.  I'm happy to meet with you to help with all sorts of research questions.

Here are some of the kinds of things I can help you with when we meet.  I can:

  • Help you broaden or narrow a research topic (as appropriate).
  • Help you find background resources to further understand a topic.
  • Help you identify research databases in which to search.
  • Help you with advanced search strategies to find articles that are suitable.
  • Help you chase down any rabbit trails that appear as you continue along your research path.
  • Help you set up bibliographic citation management tools (like Zotero, my favorite...).

You can find my appointment scheduler in my profile box on any of these guide pages.

Citation Management with Zotero

Zotero [zoh-TAIR-oh] is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources.
