What if my Topic is too Broad?

Sometimes it is not that you do not have a research topic but rather that your research question is yet too broad. For example, perhaps you know you are interested in exercise and elderly populations. Yet that topic is much too broad. You need to think of what aspects, approaches, or populations you would like to focus on in terms of this topic. One excellent approach to doing this is to perform a simple search, limiting to most recent works, and look for recurrent themes.
