Full-time permanent contractual faculty (tenure-line professors, lecturers, and academic professionals) who have had a manuscript accepted for publication, and who do not have other sources of funds (grant funds, for example) to pay article processing charges are eligible to apply.
Only works that have been accepted for publication by legitimate publishers are eligible for funding. The published works need to have undergone peer review before acceptance. The following are lists and directories of generally acceptable open-access publishers and journals. These lists are non-exhaustive. If you are unsure of where to publish open access, these lists can be used to identify appropriate publishers and journals. If you have questions about a specific publication or publisher, contact scholcomm@baylor.edu.
